How can I get updates regarding the status of my case or legal matter?You may request updates on the status of your case by calling the office, by e-mail, or zoom meeting.
Are courts of law still open in my area? Will my court date be rescheduled? What if I can’t come to court because I’m sick or quarantined?Yes the courts are open for business, however they are still not open to the public. On July 13, 2020 some court cases will be conducted in court, while others will still remain by remote appearance only. Your court date may be rescheduled by the court and my office will notify you of that and provide you with your new court date. If you are sick and unable to attend your court hearing please call my office in advance of your court date and I will be able to continue your case.
Will scheduled depositions, mediation, arbitration, or settlement negotiations occur as planned?Right now they are being continued to dates further out. However after August 13, 2020 more civil matters will be heard in person in the court or by remote hearing utilizing zoom.
